Netflix’s Hit Show Back For Season 2
Bridgerton season 1 was a huge success for Netflix. Fans were excited for the return of the hit show. While season 1 focused on the love story between Daphene and the Duke of Hastings, season 2 shines a light on the eldest Bridgerton, Anthony.
Season 2 has some of your favorites from season 1, as well as some newcomers who joined the Ton. Most notably missing from season 2 is Regé-Jean Page, who played The Duke. Page decided not to renew his contract for season 2. While viewers were distraught over his exit from the show, season 2 proved to be just as good without him. Season 2 featured newcomers to the show, Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran. They played sisters Kate and Edwina Sharma. The series is based on novels written by Julia Quinn. The show has been renewed for four seasons, although there are eight novels total, each following a different Bridgerton sibling.
Season 2 of Bridgerton focuses on Viscount Anthony Bridgerton’s journey to find his Viscountess. He begins courting Ms. Edwina Sharma, who is new to town. The Viscount is focused on finding a suitable match who looks good on paper; he is not focused on a love connection. As the season progresses it becomes evident that Anthony would rather be with Edwina’s older sister Kate. This creates a love triangle between the three. All of this is happening while the anonymous Lady Whistedown publishes her paper airing out the Ton’s dirty laundry. You do not wanna miss season 2! Start watching on Netflix to see how it plays out!
